The Dr. Said My Spleen Was Bleeding
Apr 29, 2025
But yesterday morning at 4am a deep pain grew in my side and I buckled over.
KK, my wife, said, "We're taking you to the hospital."
21 days ago, I committed to making you content every single day. So for the last 12 days of fever I would wait until my fever broke and then rush into the studio and make the video before the fever returned.
But yesterday I was under cat scans, ultrasounds, and the most severe head pain I have ever experienced.
I am no stranger to pain but this head pain was a 10 out of 10.

Why do I share this?
1. Because I want you to know that while my body has suffered severely, my heart is full. That's because of Jesus.
2. When you suffer, God walks with you through the valley of the shadow of death. He never promised you would not suffer. But He did promise to be with you in the valley.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4)
3. When something hurts, leverage it. Let it channel your focus. This is not the time to throw in the towel. This is your moment to become stronger.
The greatest pain anyone ever suffered happened on a piece of wood at Calvary. And yet that pain was channeled to pay for the sins of the world (John 3:16).
I am amazed at how blessed you and I are to build a business for the King of kings. It doesn't get better than that!
Post hospital stay: I contracted mononucleosis which attacks the spleen. As long as my spleen does not burst, I don't have to go into surgery. Trusting God by the moment.
