Use Your Mind to Change Your World

Jeff didn’t enter planet earth with skills and experience. 

He knew nothing.

Like you and me, he came into this world naked.

He wasn't born into wealth. 

So what creates this gap the size of the Grand Canyon? 

How he chooses to use his mind. 

Does this mean he's smarter? Not at all. 

History proves that the majority of the most wealthy people are not the smartest people. Nor born into wealth. Nor uniquely gifted. 

The one unique difference is that they choose to believe that they can do something amazing. 

Why did Jeff Bezos leave his high-paying job at a hedge fund and forfeit his bonus? 

Because he believed he could build something incredible. 

He gave his mind permission to believe that he could achieve what most people would not take a risk on. 

But how did he do this? 

Jeff Bezos used what he calls the "regret minimization framework." As he debated leaving Wall Street, he asked himself, “When I’m 80, will I regret not doing this?”

In that moment he realized he wouldn’t regret trying and failing. 

But he would regret never trying.

So he left his cushy job and the rest is history. 

How one uses their brain is the most common trait separating the top 1% from everyone else. 

Jerry Seinfeld said, "You’ve got to treat your brain like a dog you just got…The brain is a stupid little dog that is easily trained." 

He's not wrong. Our brains are incredibly trainable if we are self aware enough to realize it. 

And that starts with what you believe. 

What we believe carries massive impact on how we live. 

For example, you choose to believe you can build a business that lets you invest in assets, retire your wife from work, and gives you margin to do full time ministry. 

How you live and spend your time will begin to reflect that belief. 

Consider how different your life would look today had you never believed in God. Your belief in the Son of God literally transformed the course of your life.

The invisible creates the material. 

If we categorize reality into four parts: physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental, consider that the physical is created by the other three. 

When you look at a physical house, that house would not exist had an architect not drawn up the blueprint. Mental. 

And even before him was the couple in love who paid to build the new home where they can raise a family. Emotional. 

And their relationship was spawned through a desire to honor God with their resources by investing in a home instead of throwing money down the black hole of rent. Spiritual. 

Just as God the invisible made the physical realm a reality, and just as the non-material code of software can spit out a physical object on a 3D printer, so your immaterial mind creates reality as it guides you on your decision-making. 

This is why it’s critical that we train our mind into the truth-based blueprint needed to build a business that creates the output we need in order to reach our goals. 

Just as our bodies must be trained to learn to play a new instrument, so our brains need to be trained in order to create the life vision we are working toward. 

When you learn how to train your mind, teaching it to work for you instead of running on default, it unlocks possibilities most people could not imagine. 

I'm not a big fan of "manifestations." And not because it does not hold some truth but because of how it has been abused. 

However, to help train my brain I created 10 axioms that I read twice a day.  

I've only been doing this for under a week and I'm already seeing an increase in my focus.

⚔️ Thank you, Jesus, for my wife, four children, excellent health, growing business, wealth, and most importantly, your sacrifice so I could live.

⚔️ I have the strength and determination to reach my goals. I will not only reach but surpass them.

⚔️ I will take full responsibility for my life, my failures, my success.

⚔️ As a servant of the King of kings, my life will reflect the focus, discipline, excellence, creativity, and abundance that His fame deserves.

⚔️ I will say "no" to 10,000 distractions & opportunities so I can say "Yes" to actions that move me toward my goals.

⚔️ I will think 10 times bigger & work 10 times harder than the average entrepreneur.

⚔️ Every problem is another opportunity, every obstacle an education college can’t teach.

⚔️ I will take calculated risks, grounded in research and intuition.

⚔️ Consistency trumps intensity. Every day I will become more consistent.

⚔️ I will move to action quickly and now, instead of waiting for the perfect moment.

⚔️ I will manage my time ruthlessly. I do the highest ROI tasks first.

⚔️ I cannot lose because I will not quit.

⚔️ I will learn from every failure.

⚔️ I will listen to and learn from constructive feedback.

⚔️ I do not care what others think of me. I will win instead.

⚔️ I am the only person who can get between me and reaching my goals.

⚔️ As the leader, I will eat last.

⚔️ I will hire people better than me.

⚔️ I am building my company to run without me.

⚔️ Not today, Satan!
